LCPS and the ARP stakeholder committee are requesting your input on the use of funding that will be received through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act (ESSER III) grant.

These are one-time funds and any associated expenses will be reduced once the funds are expended. The ending date for the use of the funds is Sept. 30, 2021. LCPS will receive $64,071,112.75 from this grant within the next few months.

These funds are intended to help schools to return safely to in-person instruction, maximize in-person instructional time, sustain the safe operation of schools, and address the academic, social, emotional, and mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on New Mexico’s students.

All action steps listed below were developed by the ARP stakeholder committee and from feedback from LCPS departments and school leaders. Stakeholder group members were selected based on the minimum requirements outlined by the New Mexico Public Education Department. The LCPS ARP stakeholder committee is comprised of:

•Students •Families •Executive Cabinet & Superintendent •Teachers •Principals •Assistant Principals •Support Personnel •Union Representatives •American Indian representative •Civil Rights organization representatives •Stakeholders representing the interests of: •Children with disabilities •English Learner •Children experiencing homelessness •Children in foster care •Migratory students •Children who are incarcerated •Other underserved students
